The Winnipeg Warriors brought professional hockey back to Winnipeg in 1955 after a 27-year absence, joining the Western Hockey League (WHL) as the first tenant of the brand-new Winnipeg Arena. Owned by the prominent Perrin family, the Warriors enjoyed one of the most charmed debut seasons in pro hockey history.

In their inaugural 1955–56 campaign, the Warriors captured the WHL's prairie division regular-season title, swept the playoffs to win the President's Cup, and then defeated the Montreal Royals to take home the Edinburgh Cup as champions of Canadian minor professional hockey. The Warriors' marquee draw was Winnipeg native Bill Mosienko, a Hall of Fame–caliber winger who returned home to launch the franchise after a long career in the major leagues. Mounting travel costs to WHL opponents in Alberta, British Columbia, and the Pacific Northwest — combined with arena rent disputes — eventually wore the franchise down, and owner Jack Perrin requested a leave of absence from the league after the 1960–61 season. The Warriors never returned.

  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Domestic rates

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.

  • If a jersey arrives damaged or incorrect, we'll remake it at no charge or issue a full refund. email info@royalretros.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo.
