What's in a name?

Royal Retros has been at this since 2016. Both halves of the name describe what we do.

  • Retros (throwbacks)When the archive is part of the story — defunct franchises, championship eras, classic uniform sets — we activate it. Recreated from photos when nothing else survives.

If you already run a primary store, Royal Retros plugs in as a specialized throwback line that lives alongside it — no overlap with your primary merchandise. We recreate logos, uniforms, and merchandise from only a picture, which means even decades-old or rights-recovered properties become activatable inventory.

Built-in audience. Our customer base is one of the most sports-history-obsessed on the internet. They already follow vintage marks, defunct franchises, and championship-era throwbacks — so when we activate your heritage, the demand is already there.

On-field uniforms

Royal Retros manufactures top-quality on-field uniforms and sideline apparel for our league partners — built to the same construction standards used by the major leagues. Spec varies by sport: we work with you on materials, fit, and details so the gear holds up to the level of play and looks the part on broadcast.

Better-looking teams on the field move more product off it. We keep field-gear pricing as low as possible because the two halves of the business reinforce each other.

Common questions

We already run our own store. Is there still a way to work together?

Yes — that's what Retros is for. We sit alongside your existing operation as a specialized throwback line, with no overlap on your primary merchandise.

Do you only work with sports organizations?

Primarily, yes. Heritage sports apparel is where our archive expertise, production network, and customer base are sharpest. We'll occasionally look at adjacent heritage IP (vintage motorsport, defunct sports media properties) if the archive is strong and the audience overlaps. We don't take on individual podcasts or personal brands.

What does the financial arrangement look like?

Depends on the program. Royalties typically runs on revenue-share with no out-of-pocket build cost on your end. Retros and licensing partnerships run on royalty against net sales. Capsule drops are usually minimum guarantee plus revenue-share. We'll walk through specifics once we know it's a fit.
