The Tampa Bay Storm were the most decorated franchise in AFL history, winning five ArenaBowls across a 27-year run that made them the longest-tenured and most successful team the league ever produced. Born from the relocation of the Pittsburgh Gladiators in 1991, the Storm captured ArenaBowls in 1991, 1993, 1995, 1996, and 2003.

Head coach Tim Marcum — already a multi-time champion with the Denver Dynamite and Detroit Drive — guided most of the Storm's title runs in Tampa. Quarterback Jay Gruden, later a Super Bowl-winning NFL offensive coordinator and Washington head coach, was a central figure in the Storm's mid-1990s dynasty. The franchise played at the Tampa Bay Times Forum (now Amalie Arena) through the 2017 season before the AFL's eventual folding.
