Titles: Million Dollar Game champions 2001
The Los Angeles Xtreme were the only champions in XFL history, winning the league's inaugural Million Dollar Game on April 21, 2001 with a 38–6 victory over the San Francisco Demons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Quarterback Tommy Maddox — the league's MVP that season — led an explosive offense and went on to revive his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, making the 2001 XFL a critical career stop in his return to professional football.
Head coach Al Luginbill guided the Xtreme to a 7–3 regular-season record and the Western Conference title, and the Xtreme became the visual symbol of the only championship the original XFL ever produced. When the league folded after one season, the Xtreme's title remained the sole XFL crown for nearly two decades.
