With the help of a young Ted Williams, the original San Diego Padres were off to a hot start — finishing second in their inaugural 1936 season and winning the minor leagues championship in just their second year. The franchise had been the Hollywood Stars before relocating south when their L.A. rent doubled.

After being sold multiple times over the next two decades, the Padres had a resurgence in the 1960s and became a dominant force in the PCL. When MLB came to San Diego in 1969, the new major-league team took the Padres name while the original franchise moved to Eugene, Oregon and rebranded as the Emeralds. Notable PCL Padres alumni included Ted Williams, Joe Horlen, Art Shamsky, Bobby Doerr, Minnie Miñoso, Tony Pérez, and Jack Merson.

How to order

  • Type the number and/or name you'd like on the jersey in the customization fields. You can leave the name field blank if you only want a number.
  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

Important review carefully before ordering

Once your order is placed:

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Domestic rates

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.

  • If a jersey arrives damaged or incorrect, we'll remake it at no charge or issue a full refund. email info@royalretros.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo.
