Team: Tulsa Shock
Years Active: 2010–2015
Home: BOK Center — Tulsa, OK

The Shock were the relocated continuation of the 1998–2009 Detroit Shock, a franchise that had won three WNBA championships in Detroit (2003, 2006, 2008). After a dismal first season in Tulsa, the club hired Bill Laimbeer to run the team; the plan worked, but Laimbeer resigned in 2009 and the team hit the skids again.

The move to Tulsa didn't sit well with the team's four top stars, who declined to relocate. In 2016 the franchise moved again, becoming the Dallas Wings.
