After a dismal first season, the team hired pro legend Bill Lambier to run the club. The plan worked, but Lambier resigned in 2009 and the team subsequently hit the skids. They relocated to Tulsa, but unfortunately that was not OK with the team's four top stars, who didn't make the move. In 2016, the team relocated to Dallas and became the Wings. Detroit is set to get a new team in 2029.
