Team: Dayton Triangles
Years Active: 1920–1929
Home: Triangle Park — Dayton, OH

Founded in 1913 as a semi-pro club, the Dayton Triangles became one of 14 charter members of the American Professional Football Association in 1920 — renamed the National Football League in 1922. Named for Triangle Park, at the confluence of the Great Miami and Stillwater rivers, the Triangles hosted what is recognized as pro football's first-ever league game, on October 3, 1920, beating the Columbus Panhandles 14–0.

Built from rosters drawn from area factories, the Triangles competed for ten seasons without a championship, never finishing higher than fourth place. The franchise folded after 1929, and its assets were sold and reorganized as the Brooklyn Dodgers football club for 1930.

Vintage-inspired reproduction — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any team, league, or organization. Used for historical and artistic purposes only.
