The Jersey Knights were the relocated New York Golden Blades, moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey, partway through the 1973–74 World Hockey Association (WHA) season after the New York operation ran out of options at Madison Square Garden. The Knights played at the small Cherry Hill Arena, finishing out the season in a markedly different setting from their original major-market debut.

The Cherry Hill Arena was notoriously cramped and dated, with a sloped ice surface and minimal big-league amenities, but the Knights completed the 1973–74 season there before ownership relocated the franchise once more — this time across the country to San Diego for 1974–75, where it would continue as the San Diego Mariners. The Knights' brief Cherry Hill chapter remains one of the most unusual relocations in major-league professional hockey history.

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
