The Czechoslovakia national ice hockey team was one of the dominant programs of twentieth-century European hockey, producing six World Championship gold medals and one of the great Cold War rivalries with the Soviet Union. The Czechoslovak hockey identity — blue, white, and red with the distinctive lion crest — was carried by Vladimír Dzurilla, Václav Nedomanský, Jaroslav Holík, the Stastny brothers (Peter, Anton, Marián), Jiří Holík, and goaltender Vladimír Krutov-era rivalries throughout the team's six-decade run.

The 1976 World Championship gold, captured in Katowice, and the 1985 gold, won in Prague, stand as the program's signature international achievements. Czechoslovakia dissolved as a state on January 1, 1993, and the national hockey program split into Czech Republic and Slovakia squads — but the Czechoslovakia jersey, in its mid-twentieth-century form, remains one of the most iconic pieces of European international hockey apparel.

  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
