The Philadelphia Stars, rebranded Baltimore Stars in 1985, are the most decorated franchise in original USFL history, appearing in all three championship games and winning back-to-back titles in 1984 and 1985. Coached by Jim Mora and quarterbacked by Chuck Fusina, with running back Kelvin Bryant and linebacker Sam Mills, the Stars went 15–3 in 1983 before losing the inaugural title, then beat the Arizona Wranglers 23–3 in 1984 and, after relocating to Baltimore, the Oakland Invaders 28–24 in 1985.

The Stars name returned to Philadelphia for the revived USFL's 2022–2023 seasons under head coach Bart Andrus and quarterback Case Cookus, reaching the inaugural revived-league championship game before falling to the Birmingham Stallions. The franchise was not among the teams carried over when the USFL merged with the XFL to form the UFL in 2024.
