Team: Rhein Fire
Years Active: 1995–2007
Home: Rheinstadion / LTU Arena — Düsseldorf, Germany
Titles: 2× World Bowl champions (1998, 2000)
The Rhein Fire played all thirteen seasons of the relaunched World League of American Football / NFL Europe, based in Düsseldorf and splitting home games between the Rheinstadion and later the LTU Arena. The Fire won two championships — World Bowl '98 over the Frankfurt Galaxy and World Bowl 2000 over the Scottish Claymores — making Düsseldorf one of the most successful cities in the league's history.
Rhein consistently filled large German stadiums and drew some of the league's strongest local support. The franchise was dissolved along with the rest of NFL Europa after the 2007 season, but the two World Bowl titles remain a defining chapter of the league's German-heavy late era.
This is a historical representation of a defunct team, not affiliated with or endorsed by any active team, league, or organization.
