The North Pole Nicks were members of the Alaska Baseball League, a collegiate summer loop, from 1980-1991 (with a year off in 1988). At first they played their home games in Fairbanks eventually moved to their own field in North Pole. In 1986, they won the league title and went on to win it all as they captured the National Baseball Congress World Series.
