Team: Montreal Machine
Years Active: 1991–1992
Home: Olympic Stadium (Stade Olympique) — Montreal, QC
The Montreal Machine were founding members of the World League of American Football in 1991, giving Canada its only professional American football team of that era. Playing at Olympic Stadium — built for the 1976 Summer Olympics — the Machine helped host World Bowl '92, where the Sacramento Surge beat the Orlando Thunder for the league's final North American title.
Despite never reaching the postseason themselves, the Machine gave Quebec spring-football fans an alternative to the Alouettes for two seasons before folding with the rest of the league's North American franchises after 1992, when the league relaunched as a European-only competition in 1995.
This is a historical representation of a defunct team, not affiliated with or endorsed by any active team, league, or organization.
