The Montreal Concordes played five seasons in Canada's major professional football league from 1982 to 1986 at Olympic Stadium as the rebranded continuation of the Montreal Alouettes (1946–1981) — the previous Montreal franchise had folded in early 1982 and was immediately replaced by a successor ownership group operating under the new Concordes identity.

The Concordes never recaptured the success of the original Alouettes dynasty and finished above .500 only once across their five seasons. The franchise reverted to the Alouettes name for the 1986 season and folded after 1987 — leaving Montreal without a pro football team until the franchise was reactivated in 1996 with the personnel and front office of the Historic Canadian Football Baltimore Stallions. The Concordes remain a transitional chapter in Montreal's long pro football history.
