Team: Louisville Redbirds
Years Active: 1982–1998
Home: Cardinal Stadium — Louisville, KY

The Redbirds arrived in 1982, reviving top-level minor league baseball in Louisville at Cardinal Stadium — the same ballpark last used for baseball by the Louisville Colonels, who had left Kentucky a decade earlier in 1972.

The Redbirds became one of the top draws in minor league baseball through the 1980s and '90s, regularly leading their level in attendance, before the franchise was renamed the Riverbats in 1999 and, later, the Bats in 2002.

Vintage-inspired reproduction — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any team, league, or organization. Used for historical and artistic purposes only.
