The Las Vegas Gamblers were Sin City's very first hockey team. The played in the semi-pro California-Nevada Hockey League starting in 1968. In 1971. New ownership changed the team's name to the Outlaws. Their home was the Las Vegas International Ice Palace on East Sarah, just around the corner from the Sarah Hotel & Casino. The team skated until 1975.
