The Florida Bobcats played six seasons in the AFL from 1996 to 2001 at the Office Depot Center (now FLA Live Arena), home of the NHL's Florida Panthers. The Bobcats represented the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market and competed alongside the Orlando Predators and Tampa Bay Storm as Florida's three concurrent AFL franchises.

The franchise folded after the 2001 season as the AFL consolidated heading into the AFL II era. The Bobcats represent South Florida's primary AFL chapter and were part of one of the most arena-football-saturated regional markets in the league's history.
