The Cologne Centurions were one of the final teams to join the World League in 2004, replacing longtime members, the Barcelona Dragons. They were given an immediate boost with the hiring of two time World Bowl champion head coach Peter Vaas. Unfortunately, the league lasted only a few more seasons and the Centurions ended up being the only World League team to not win a championship.Â
