Yes. The team played as the Oklahoma Outlaws in 1984 (Tulsa) and merged with the Arizona Wranglers for 1985, becoming the Arizona Outlaws.

About the Oklahoma / Arizona Outlaws

The Outlaws joined the USFL as the Oklahoma Outlaws in 1984, playing home games at Skelly Stadium in Tulsa with quarterback Doug Williams (the future Super Bowl XXII MVP) leading the offense. The team went 6-12 in its inaugural season but generated genuine enthusiasm in Oklahoma's first taste of pro football. After 1984 the franchise relocated to Arizona and merged with the existing Arizona Wranglers as the Arizona Outlaws for the 1985 USFL season, going 8-10 before the league collapsed.

The Outlaws' brief two-year, two-city existence was typical of the wild ownership shuffles that marked the original USFL's three-year run, and the franchise produced one of the league's better quarterbacks in Doug Williams.
