Team: Cleveland Lumberjacks
Years Active: 1992–2001 (IHL)
Home: Richfield Coliseum / Gund Arena — Cleveland / Richfield, OH

The Cleveland Lumberjacks brought professional hockey back to Cleveland 14 years after the Barons folded, joining the International Hockey League as a 1992 expansion franchise. They played first at Richfield Coliseum — the same building the Barons had called home — before moving downtown to the new Gund Arena in 1994.

The Lumberjacks built playoff-caliber rosters across nine seasons behind a rotating cast of prospects from top-tier organizations, and their red, black, and white lumberjack logo became one of the most recognizable identities in 1990s minor pro hockey. The franchise folded with the IHL in 2001 and was not among the clubs absorbed into top-level minor league hockey.
