The New Orleans Night played two seasons in the AFL in 1991 and 1992 at the Louisiana Superdome. The Night gave New Orleans its first arena football franchise and competed during the league's early-1990s expansion era.
The team folded after 1992 as the AFL consolidated, but New Orleans would return to arena football more than a decade later with the New Orleans VooDoo (2004–2008, 2011). The Night represent the city's earliest AFL chapter.
