The Chicago Winds were the 1975 successor to the Chicago Fire, one of the World Football League (WFL)'s founding franchises. The Fire had been one of the more competitive teams in the league's first season at Soldier Field, but the Winds never got the chance to build on it — the league folded in October 1975, cutting the season short. The Winds exist as one of the shortest-lived franchises in professional football history, barely getting off the ground before the WFL went under.
This is a historical representation of a defunct team, not affiliated with or endorsed by any active team, league, or organization.
