Team: St Petersburg Pelicans
Years Active: 1989–1990
Home: Al Lang Stadium — St. Petersburg, FL
Titles: 1989–90 SPBA champions

The St. Petersburg Pelicans were the only champions in the brief history of the Senior Professional Baseball Association, winning the inaugural 1989–90 title at Al Lang Stadium over the West Palm Beach Tropics. Managed by Bobby Tolan, the Pelicans were one of eight charter SPBA franchises in a winter league for retired major-leaguers age 35-and-up.

Notable Pelicans included Bobby Bonds, Ozzie Virgil, Joaquín Andujar, and Tom Underwood. The SPBA, founded by California businessman Jim Morley, collapsed financially during its second season — making the Pelicans its lone champion.
