The Atlanta Legends played the abbreviated 2019 season in the AAF at Georgia State Stadium, the converted Olympic / Atlanta Braves venue that became Georgia State's home in 2017. The Legends represented one of eight founding franchises in Charlie Ebersol's spring-football league.

Quarterbacks Matt Simms and Aaron Murray rotated under center as the Legends struggled to a 2–6 mark across the eight weeks of play before the league suspended operations in April 2019. The 2019 AAF run remains the only professional spring-football season Atlanta hosted between the WLAF's North American era and the XFL/USFL revivals of the 2020s.
