The WHA All-Star Game ran from 1973 through 1979 across the seven-season life of the World Hockey Association, bringing together the league's best players for a mid-season showcase. The WHA All-Star jersey — blue and white with the league's distinctive All-Star crest — was worn by the era's stars including Bobby Hull, Gordie Howe, Mark Howe, Marty Howe, Frank Mahovlich, J.C. Tremblay, and a teenage Wayne Gretzky during his rookie 1978–79 season.

The WHA's seven-year run ended in 1979 when the league dissolved and four franchises were absorbed into the established major professional hockey league. The WHA All-Star jersey remains one of the foundational visual artifacts of mid-1970s professional hockey and a centerpiece of any vintage hockey apparel collection.

  • To order a fully blank jersey, check the "Leave blank" box. Blank jerseys still require full production time — we don't keep them in stock.

Once your order is placed:

  • Changes can only be made within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, the order has entered production and we can't modify it.
  • Cancellations after 48 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Construction options

Many jerseys offer choices like application method (replica/printed vs sewn tackle twill), sleeve length, or add-on patches. The available options appear on the customization screen as you go through it.

Custom measurements

We can produce jerseys in custom measurements including women's and youth sizes. We can also modify other details on the jerseys shown on the site. For these requests, email custom@royalretros.com before ordering.

Blank-jersey exchanges

Custom jerseys ordered blank (no name or number) can be exchanged for another size or for store credit. Custom jerseys with a name or number printed/sewn are final sale.

Production timeframe

Custom jerseys are made-to-order and ship in 3-7 weeks depending on construction style. The exact lead time for the style you choose is shown on the Decoration Type screen during customization.

Expedited shipping

Choosing an expedited shipping method does not speed up production, it only affects how we ship the order once it's been made. If you need your jersey by a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Standard shipping starts at $5.99. Free Economy shipping on US orders $125+. International shipping available to most countries.
