The Las Vegas Posse played a single season in Canada's major professional football league in 1994 at Sam Boyd Silver Bowl (now Sam Boyd Stadium). The Posse gave Las Vegas its first pro football franchise of the modern era — predating the city's later XFL Outlaws (2001), AFL Sting (1994 also), USFL revival, UFL Locomotives (2009–11), and the eventual arrival of the NFL Raiders in 2020.

Coached by Ron Meyer and led by quarterback Anthony Calvillo (in his rookie year before becoming one of the most prolific passers in Canadian pro football history), the Posse finished 5–13 in their lone season. Weak attendance and the unusual structure of the league's southern division doomed the franchise after just one campaign. The Posse remain a unique Historic Canadian Football chapter — Las Vegas's first pro football team and the launching point for Calvillo's Hall of Fame career.
