The San Antonio Brahmas were one of three new cities added when the XFL relaunched in 2023, bringing spring football to the Alamodome. The inaugural team went 3–7 and missed the playoffs, but drew nearly 15,000 fans a game.
When the XFL and USFL merged into the UFL for 2024, the Brahmas made their best run, reaching the league championship game before falling short. The UFL discontinued the franchise in October 2025 as it moved toward smaller venues, ending the Brahmas after three seasons in San Antonio.
