The Florida Blazers played the 1974 World Football League season at the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, one of the league's more competitive and financially healthier teams. The Blazers reached World Bowl I, falling 22–21 to the Birmingham Americans in the inaugural championship.

Head coach Jack Pardee guided the team despite ownership turmoil that left players unpaid for much of the season. The franchise was reorganized and relocated to San Antonio as the Wings for 1975.
