The San Francisco Shamrocks were one of the early-era professional hockey identities in the Bay Area, playing in the Pacific Coast Hockey League (PCHL) in the post-World War II era. Playing at the Winterland Ballroom — a venue later famous as a rock concert hall — the Shamrocks brought a green-and-white Irish-themed identity to San Francisco's professional sports scene decades before the city's modern hockey ventures.

The Shamrocks competed across multiple PCHL seasons in the late 1940s, fielding rosters that included many post-war veteran players. The franchise's later folding closed one of the earliest professional hockey chapters in San Francisco's history. The Shamrocks remain one of the more distinctive obscure post-war minor pro hockey identities.
