The Minnesota Moose were an International Hockey League (IHL) expansion team awarded to Minneapolis/St. Paul in 1994 after the departure of the North Stars. The team played most of its home games at the St. Paul Civic Center, former home of the WHA's Minnesota Fighting Saints. After two years, the team moved to Winnipeg, a city that had just lost its beloved Jets to Phoenix.
