About the St. Louis Battlehawks

The St. Louis Battlehawks were born out of the 2020 XFL relaunch and quickly became one of the most successful expansion stories in modern spring-football history. Playing home games at The Dome at America's Center — the same venue once home to the Rams — the Battlehawks tapped into a city that had been hungry for pro football since the Rams left for Los Angeles in 2016. The fans responded by packing the building, lifting Battlehawks attendance to among the highest in the league and turning the team into the de facto face of XFL spring football.

After the XFL paused and re-launched, the Battlehawks returned for the 2023 XFL season under new ownership and continued to dominate the attendance leaderboard. When the XFL and USFL merged into the United Football League for the 2024 season, the Battlehawks were retained — a no-brainer given their fan base — and have continued to be one of the UFL's marquee franchises ever since. Their home games consistently set spring-football attendance records, with crowds well over 30,000 packing The Dome on game day.
