QMJHL Throwbacks — Quebec Major Junior Hockey at Royal Retros

Heritage Junior Hockey Throwbacks from Quebec. Soft Tees. Sizes S–5XL.

Royal Retros is building a home for throwback gear from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League — the junior circuit where teenage prospects from Quebec and Atlantic Canada play a full pro-style schedule in front of packed hometown rinks. These are heritage-inspired tribute designs honoring the league's lost and relocated franchises, starting with the Beauport Harfangs. More clubs are on the way.

Beauport Harfangs — "Harfangs" is French for snowy owls, and from 1990 to 1997 the Harfangs played out of the Aréna Marcel-Bédard in Beauport, just outside Quebec City. Nineteen Harfangs alumni went on to play professionally at hockey's highest level. Under head coach Alain Vigneault, Beauport reached its only league final in 1995–96, falling to the Granby Prédateurs. The franchise moved into Quebec City in 1997, ending the Harfangs era. Shop the Beauport Harfangs T-shirt in black, gold, athletic heather, or white.

T-Shirts — Soft, lightweight ring-spun cotton tees with a unisex classic fit, printed to order. Sizes S–5XL.

What Is the QMJHL?

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League began play in 1969–70 and is one of Canada's three major junior hockey leagues. Its players are mostly 16 to 20 years old, and its clubs are spread across Quebec and the Maritime provinces. The league champion wins the President's Cup and advances to the Memorial Cup, the national junior championship.

For more than five decades the QMJHL has been a proving ground for future stars. Guy Lafleur starred for the Quebec Remparts in the league's early years, Mario Lemieux scored 133 goals for the Laval Voisins in 1983–84, and Sidney Crosby turned Rimouski into a must-see stop in the mid-2000s. Along the way, small-market rinks in towns like Beauport, Granby, Verdun and Trois-Rivières built passionate followings — and plenty of those clubs moved, rebranded, or folded, leaving the kind of logos and colors that make great throwbacks.
