Kentucky Sports History

Kentucky's pro sports lineage starts in the 19th century with the Louisville Colonels of the American Association and National League. A century later, the Kentucky Colonels of the ABA (1967–1976) became one of the league's most successful franchises — winning the 1975 ABA championship and producing stars like Dan Issel, Artis Gilmore, and Louie Dampier. Hockey came to the state via the Louisville Icehawks of the ECHL and later the Kentucky Thoroughblades, the AHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks. Our exclusive Kentucky Barrels line celebrates the Bluegrass State's bourbon, horse-racing, and gridiron culture in original streetwear and on-field apparel.
