About the Arizona Wranglers

The Arizona Wranglers were a charter USFL franchise based in Phoenix at Sun Devil Stadium. They went 4-14 in their 1983 debut, then in a controversial 1984 swap of owners with the Chicago Blitz, ended up with most of the original Blitz roster and George Allen as head coach — going 10-8 and reaching the USFL Championship Game (where they lost to the Philadelphia Stars). For 1985, the Wranglers merged with the Oklahoma Outlaws to become the Arizona Outlaws. The Royal Retros Arizona Wranglers collection celebrates that wild three-year run with apparel for spring-football collectors.
