The Tampa Smokers were a fixture of Florida minor league baseball across three separate incarnations between 1919 and 1954, spending most of their history in the Florida State League and later the Florida International League while playing at the city's storied Plant Field.

The Smokers won four league pennants (1920, 1925, 1946 and 1949) and earned a place in state history as one of the first racially integrated teams in Florida, signing Afro-Cuban outfielder Claro Duany in 1952. Future big-leaguers including Joe Medwick and Camilo Pascual passed through Tampa before the franchise folded along with the Florida International League after the 1954 season.
