The Hartford Hellions were a Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) expansion team in 1979, the league's second season. They played two seasons in Connecticut, splitting home games between the New Haven Coliseum and the Hartford Civic Center, before being sold and relocated to Tennessee, where they were renamed the Memphis Americans. The Hellions remain a minor footnote in New England indoor-soccer history.
