Free name and number on most styles. Sizes S–5XL.
Featured East Coast Minor-League Franchises
Montreal Royals (International League, 1928–1960) — The most historically important minor-league franchise in North American history. The Brooklyn Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate that gave Jackie Robinson his pro debut in 1946. Robinson hit .349 in his Royals season, won the IL pennant, and led Montreal to the Junior World Series title before being called up to the Dodgers in 1947 to break MLB's color barrier. The Royals also developed Roy Campanella, Don Newcombe, Sandy Koufax, Tommy Lasorda (as a player), and dozens of other Dodgers stars. Multiple Montreal Royals items in the catalog: jersey, snapback hat, unstructured hat, t-shirt.
Havana Sugar Kings (International League, 1954–1960) — The IL's Cuban franchise. Affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds. Played until Castro's 1960 nationalization of the Cuban economy forced the franchise to relocate to Jersey City mid-season. Sandy Amoros, Cookie Rojas, and a generation of Cuban-American MLB stars came up through the Sugar Kings before the Cuban-American baseball pipeline was severed. Multiple Sugar Kings items in the catalog: custom jersey, replica jersey, snapback hat, t-shirt.
Newark Bears (multiple eras) — Newark's pro baseball franchise across multiple incarnations. The original Newark Bears (1926–1949) were the New York Yankees' AAA International League affiliate — the team that fielded Yogi Berra's first pro at-bats and developed half a generation of Yankees prospects. The modern Newark Bears (1998–2013, Atlantic League) revived the franchise as an independent operation that signed Jose Canseco, Rickey Henderson, and other former MLB stars in late-career roles. Both Bears eras in the catalog.
Tampa Smokers (Florida International League, 1919–1954) — Tampa's pro baseball franchise across thirty-five seasons. Named for Tampa's signature cigar industry. Managed at one point by Hall of Fame catcher Al Lopez (a Tampa native). 1947 FIL pennant winners. Multiple Smokers items in the catalog: jersey, hoodie, t-shirt, replica jersey.
Tampa Tarpons (Florida State League) — Tampa's modern Class A franchise. Yankees affiliate that gives Tampa Bay area baseball fans a developmental pipeline to follow.
Jamestown Jammers (NY-Penn League) — Jamestown, NY's short-season Class A franchise that ran for decades as the Jets/Expos/Marlins/Pirates/Astros development outpost in upstate New York's NY-Penn League circuit.

The History of East Coast Minor-League Baseball
The International League is the oldest continuously-operating minor league in North American baseball, dating to 1884 and currently running as a Triple-A circuit affiliated with MLB. For more than 140 years the IL has fielded franchises across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Florida, the Caribbean, and Eastern Canada. The Buffalo Bisons (the longest-running IL franchise), Toledo Mud Hens (made famous by Klinger on M*A*S*H), Rochester Red Wings (the Cardinals' AAA outpost for decades), Syracuse Chiefs, Indianapolis Indians, Columbus Clippers, Charlotte Knights, Norfolk Tides, and Pawtucket Red Sox have collectively given the East Coast Triple-A baseball that often produced future Hall of Famers en route to the AL/NL.
The IL's most historically important franchise was the Montreal Royals, the Brooklyn Dodgers' AAA affiliate from 1939 to 1960. The Royals signed Jackie Robinson in October 1945 and gave him his pro debut on April 18, 1946 — a year and a day before he broke MLB's color barrier with the Dodgers. Robinson hit .349 with 113 runs scored, was named IL Most Valuable Player, and led Montreal to the IL pennant and the Junior World Series championship. The Royals continued as the Dodgers' AAA pipeline through the franchise's relocation to Los Angeles, finally folding in 1960.
The Havana Sugar Kings (1954–1960) gave the IL a Cuban franchise that became one of the great cult chapters in pro baseball history. Castro's nationalization of the Cuban economy in mid-1960 forced the Sugar Kings to relocate mid-season to Jersey City — ending a six-decade pipeline of Cuban talent into North American pro baseball that wouldn't fully reopen until much later.
The Florida International League (1946–1954) and Florida State League (1919–present) have brought pro baseball to South Florida and Latin America for decades. The Tampa Smokers, Havana Cubans, Miami Tourists, and Lakeland Pilots played a Caribbean-flavored circuit until financial pressure and integration changed the talent dynamics in the late 1950s.
The NY-Penn League (1939–2020, since reorganized) developed Class A talent across upstate New York and Pennsylvania for eight decades. The Atlantic League and other modern independent circuits have continued East Coast minor-league baseball in markets the affiliated farm system has abandoned.
Royal Retros honors all of it — the IL's Triple-A century, the FIL's Caribbean pipeline, the Florida State League's developmental role, and the NY-Penn League's short-season classics.
