Team: San Antonio Texans
Years Active: 1995
Home: Alamodome — San Antonio, TX
The San Antonio Texans played a single 1995 season of Canadian football at the Alamodome, continuing the franchise that had played 1993–94 as the Sacramento Gold Miners. Head coach Kay Stephenson, who had also coached the Gold Miners and the WLAF's Sacramento Surge, led the Texans to a 12–6 record — the best mark of any American-based Canadian football franchise.
San Antonio reached the South Division championship game before losing to the Baltimore Stallions, who went on to win the 1995 Grey Cup. The Texans folded along with the rest of the league's American expansion teams after the season.
