Originally named the Colts, after the team that had moved 10 years prior, legal issues caused a name change to Stallions. The team was a resounding success with hall of fame coach Don Matthews leading them to the Grey Cup in both of their seasons. In 1995, the Baltimore Stallions became the first, and remain the only, American franchise to ever win the Grey Cup. Legends such as Tracy Ham, Mike Pringles, Elfrid Payton, and Donald Igwebuike played for the Stallions. Following the team's triumph, the Browns moved to Baltimore, and the Stallions were forced to relocate.

417 Helmets' policy summary:
- 14-day window from date of purchase
- A return authorization is required before shipping anything back
- Customer is responsible for return shipping
- 20% restocking fee on returns
- Custom orders custom helmets, decals, stripes, and player numbers are final sale
- Exchanges are only between non-custom mini helmets (different team allowed; different style shell or mask is not)
