The Millionaires were owned by Frank Patrick who also coached and played on the team as well as being one of the founders of the league.  The team won its only Stanley Cup in 1915, defeating the Ottawa Senators. The Millionaries would make it back to the title game 5 more times but never won another Stanley Cup. In its later years the team joined the WCHL and changed its name to the Vancouver Maroons. Over its history team boasted 13 hall of fame players in its history.
