Team: Seattle Rainiers

Home: Sick's Stadium (Seattle, WA)

Known by various names after their founding in 1903, the team's ballpark burned down in 1932. After being forced to play home games in Portland, for 6 seasons Emil Sick purchased the team and moved them back to Seattle in 1938. Sick changed the name to Rainiers to reflect the brewing company he owned and Sick's Stadium was built. The Rainiers were very successful, but met their end when the major league Seattle Pilots began play. After the Pilots moved a new Rainers team played 5 seasons, but again met their end when the Mariners were announced.
