Following their World Bowl appearance in 1974, their owner went to prision for cocaine distribution. Many of the Blazers players went to the newly established San Antonio Wings. The Wings were a solid team with coaches Perry Moss and Larry Grantham, however the league folded midseason with the Wings in playoff contention.
