The Salt Lake Trappers were an independent minor-league baseball club and one of the most beloved teams of their era. In 1987 they won a record 29 consecutive games — the longest winning streak in modern professional baseball history. The club drew national attention thanks in part to celebrity co-owners Bill Murray and Brian Doyle-Murray.

The Trappers played at Derks Field in Salt Lake City through the 1992 season before folding when affiliated baseball returned to the city.
