The Montreal Machine were one of the founding franchises of the World League of American Football (WLAF) in 1991, giving Canada its first and only professional American football team of the modern era. Playing at Stade Olympique — built for the 1976 Summer Olympics — the Machine competed for two seasons before the league went on hiatus after 1992. When the WLAF returned in 1995, it did so as a European-only league, and Montreal was left behind. Two seasons, one Olympic stadium, and Canada's forgotten professional football team.

417 Helmets' policy summary:
- 14-day window from date of purchase
- A return authorization is required before shipping anything back
- Customer is responsible for return shipping
- 20% restocking fee on returns
- Custom orders custom helmets, decals, stripes, and player numbers are final sale
- Exchanges are only between non-custom mini helmets (different team allowed; different style shell or mask is not)
