The Memphis Express played the abbreviated 2019 season in the AAF at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, the historic 60,000-seat venue that has hosted Memphis pro football from the WFL Southmen through multiple revival leagues. The Express were one of eight founding franchises in Charlie Ebersol's spring league.
Head coach Mike Singletary led the Express, with Christian Hackenberg, Brandon Silvers, and Johnny Manziel rotating at quarterback during the eight-week run. Memphis finished 2–6 before the league suspended operations in April 2019.
