The Detroit Wheels were charter members of the World Football League (WFL) in 1974 and one of the league's most troubled franchises from the start. Playing at Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti rather than Detroit proper, the Wheels went 1–13 and folded before completing the 1974 season — one of the first WFL teams to collapse and an early warning sign of the league's financial instability. In a league full of short-lived experiments, the Wheels remain one of the most ill-fated.

417 Helmets' policy summary:
- 14-day window from date of purchase
- A return authorization is required before shipping anything back
- Customer is responsible for return shipping
- 20% restocking fee on returns
- Custom orders custom helmets, decals, stripes, and player numbers are final sale
- Exchanges are only between non-custom mini helmets (different team allowed; different style shell or mask is not)
