The Bellingham Giants spent a single season as a short-season Class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants in 1995. The franchise's roots stretched back to 1973 as the Bellingham Dodgers and later the Bellingham Mariners, a longtime Seattle affiliate, before the one-year switch to San Francisco and the franchise's exit from Bellingham after the season.
The broader Bellingham lineage produced future stars including Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez, Omar Vizquel, Raul Ibanez, Derek Lowe, Dave Stewart, and Dave Henderson.
