The Bellingham Giants spent a single season (1995) as a short-season A-level affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The franchise's roots stretched back to 1973 as the Bellingham Dodgers, then later as the Bellingham Mariners — a Seattle affiliate for nearly two decades. The Giants name reflected the one-year tie-up with San Francisco before the team folded after the 1995 season.
Despite only one year under the Giants banner, the franchise's broader Bellingham lineage in the minor leagues produced future stars including Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez, Omar Vizquel, Raul Ibanez, Derek Lowe, Dave Stewart, and Dave Henderson.
