Established in 2004, the Austin Wranglers went all in for 2006 when Deion Sanders purchased an ownership stake. They made their first and only playoff appearance with a 10-6 record that year. Following the season, the league's substitution rules were changed and the team spent big on free agents hoping to continue on their success. Unfortunately, the team had a terrible season and moved to the af2 before folding due to financial problems.
