The Cologne Centurions played four seasons in the WLAF / NFL Europe from 2004 to 2007 at the RheinEnergieStadion, joining the league when NFL Europe rebranded toward a more Germany-heavy footprint. The Centurions were one of the final expansion franchises before the league dissolved.
Cologne never reached a World Bowl, but the franchise gave the Rhineland a second German pro football team alongside the Rhein Fire and helped extend NFL Europe's late-era German base. The Centurions were dissolved with the rest of NFL Europa when the league shut down after the 2007 season.
